2. What Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide our service:
- Students: Name, email, phone number, city, college, goals, and questions for mentors.
- Mentors: Name, email, phone, LinkedIn profile, college/career background, and availability.
- BBX Reviewers: Name (optional if anonymous), email, phone, college reviewed, and rating scores.
- Contact enquiries: Name, contact details, and message content.
- Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, browser type (via standard server logs — no third-party tracking pixels).
3. How We Use Your Data
- To match students with appropriate mentors based on goals and profile.
- To send session confirmations, transcripts, and platform updates via email or WhatsApp.
- To improve our matching quality and platform experience.
- To process payments securely via Razorpay (we never store card details).
- To publish BBX college scores (reviewer names are hidden if anonymity was selected).
4. What We Will Never Do
We will never:
- Sell or share your personal data with colleges, coaching institutes, or any third party.
- Accept referral fees or commissions from colleges for directing students.
- Use your data for unsolicited advertising or cold-calling by partners.
5. Data Sharing
We share your data only with:
- Your matched mentor — limited to name and session context, not your full profile.
- Supabase — our secure database provider (data stored in EU/US AWS regions with encryption at rest).
- Razorpay — for payment processing only.
- Brevo — for transactional emails (session confirmations, transcripts).
6. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@beyondbrochure.com. Anonymised BBX review scores (without personal identifiers) may be retained for the public college database.
7. Your Rights
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Withdraw consent for communications at any time.
8. Cookies
We use only functional cookies necessary for login sessions and site navigation. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
